What this template helps you manage
- See the age of positive AR: Review positive accounts receivable across five standard periods: 0–30, 31–60, 61–90, 91–120, and over 120 days. The Dashboard also calculates the percentage of positive AR that is over 90 days.
- Create a focused follow-up list: Track claim status, denial flag, last follow-up date, next action date, owner, and notes. A calculated AR priority classifies each entered record as Closed/Credit, Critical, High, Medium, or Routine.
- Review payer and clinic exposure: Compare positive AR and open record counts for the included payer and clinic lists. Two Dashboard charts display positive AR by aging bucket and by the seven listed fictional payers.
- Separate open balances from credits: Current Balance equals Original Charge minus Payments minus Adjustments. Positive balances contribute to open AR reporting, while negative balances appear separately as credit balances.

About this template
AR Detail contains prepared formulas from row 2 through row 501, supporting 500 accounts receivable records. The applicable dropdown validations also extend through row 501.
The workbook uses five buckets: 0–30 Days, 31–60 Days, 61–90 Days, 91–120 Days, and Over 120 Days. Separate calculated columns assign each record’s Current Balance to its applicable bucket.
Yes. The Dashboard Aging Basis field lets you select Service Date or Claim Submitted Date. If Claim Submitted Date is selected but blank for a record, its Service Date becomes the aging start date.
Priority returns Closed/Credit, Critical, High, Medium, or Routine. The formula considers Current Balance, Denial Flag, Days Outstanding, Next Action Date, and the Dashboard’s High-Balance Threshold. A denial, a balance over 120 days old, or a due next action can result in a Critical classification.
The record-level alert identifies duplicate AR Record IDs and missing clinic, account ID, payer, service date, or original charge fields. Lists & Checks also includes reviews for date-related alerts, negative transaction inputs, bucket reconciliation, Dashboard total reconciliation, and whether an as-of date is entered.
No. The Instructions sheet says not to enter patient names, birth dates, diagnoses, member identifiers, medical record numbers, addresses, telephone numbers, or clinical notes. Included record IDs, account IDs, clinics, payers, owners, and notes are fictional sample data.
